The Dante Alighieri Society - Michigan Chapter, promotes the Italian language and culture in its territory. The Michigan Chapter is part of the worldwide Società Dante Alighieri, based in Rome, Italy. The society takes its name from the poet Dante Alighieri, author of the Divine Comedy and one of the fathers of the Italian language.

TO ACCEPT DONATIONS

The COMITES (Committee for Italian Citizens Abroad) and the: Federazione Abruzzese del Michigan along with the following associations , Dante Alighieri Society, Federazione Siciliana, Council of Presidents, IACS, announced that they will begin accepting monetary donations to assist the victims of the earthquake in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Checks should be made out to “The Federazione Abruzzese del Michigan” with a memo for the “Abruzzo Earthquake Relief Fund – 2009.”
